"Scout"- 2yo Sale Authority Gelding

CA Boot Scootin’ Boogie aka Scout is a 2yo gelding from Clan Alpine, NV. He was purchased sale authority so will not require a BLM approved application, however I will only rehome him to the right fit! This handsome guy has the brains, temperament, and the whole package to come with him. He will be very casually looking for the perfect home after the Nebraska Branded Bonanza in August, and I am in absolutely no rush to rehome him. He can be picked up at the Nebraska State Fair or in Blanchardville, WI, following the competition (can also deliver along the route, or slightly off the route, on the way back). He has already gone to several shows, and will continue going to more shows, as well as the fair, prior to the competition.
He has the following skills:
-Very easy to catch
-Leads w/t at shoulder or behind (wherever you ask him to be, have also started working on a canter in-hand)
-Stops and backs
-Picks up all four feet
-Stands tied
-Good for baths, fly spray, etc.
-Great for vet and farrier
-Pivots both directions on hind and forequarters
-Sidepasses both directions
-Lunges w/t both directions (will likely begin working on cantering soon)
-Respects electric fencing
-Loads/unloads easily and hauls good (has only been hauled loose as we have a stock trailer, however, he may be introduced to a slant before the competition)
-Has been led on trails, through woods, across the road, by the road (good with cars driving by), etc. and does great!
-Has had one ride (bareback in a halter; did walk, whoa, back, pivots, walked over bridge, etc.), and may be lightly started under saddle
-Been hauled off property several times and does amazing
-And will continue training until the competition, so will likely know much more!
Scout is an amazing all around prospect and I think he’d be a great first mustang/first project horse for someone due to his trainability, willingness, and amazing personality! The video linked is from his first show and first showmanship pattern after just 6 weeks of handling. More info, photos, videos, and regular updates on Scout can be found on my training page on Facebook, Double A Horsemanship: https://www.facebook.com/people/Double-A-Horsemanship/100090663580905/
**Preference (and possibly reduced fee) given to homes who would be interested in getting both Spike and Scout together, as they have become best friends and are bonded!
